Here are some tips and suggestions for you dNaNo:

These tips are not designed to scare you, just a few precautions to ensure trouble free operation and ease of maintenance.
First of all, always handle the dNaNo chassis with care. These are small parts that although are tough for they're size, they still cannot hold up against too much pressure. Remember, these are Race cars, made for performance and light weight is an important factor. You'll get a feel for it once in hand.

1. Cleaning tips:

Since the dNaNo is so tiny, any dirt, dust or hair picked up off the floor can and will affect performance. It is always best to run the dNaNo on a surface that is a clean as possible. Remove dust with a hand pump frequently to prevent build up. We do not recommend aresol can keyboard cleaners as they may damage the electronics.

To clean your tires first try wiping the from one side to another with a dry cloth or tissue. If that is not working, remove the tires and wash them in water. Be sure they are completely dry before reinstalling them. If you notice any ticking sounds while driving on a hard surface that is a sign of dirt in the tires. They are a soft compound so even a grain of sand or salt will hold on, and result in a noisy ride. A sand grain in a dNaNo tire is like having a large rock stuck to a full size car tire.

If you find any wheels "sticking" that is usually a piece of hair wrapped around an axle. First try removing it with tweezers. If the tweezer can't get it, simply remove the wheel from the car and it will be accessable.

2. Changing parts:

Due to their small size, changing parts in a dNaNo does require care. Keep these few tips in practice and you'll have no problem. First we'll start with the screws. The screws in a dNaNo are incredibly small, similar to screws forun in wrist watch movements. Always store any removed screws securly at your workstation. A dNaNo screw in a carpet is as good as gone. Use gentle pressure when removing screws and use even more caution when reinstalling them. Never tighten these screws past the point of "just snug", you will either strip them or the holes and need to replace the part. I use my thumb and index finger only for tightening screws and stop right at the point it begins to snug.

If you don't have perfect or near perfect vision it will be best to use maginfication when working on your dNaNo. If you cant clearly see the parts then do not attempt to do the work without the aid of a magnifying glass.

3. General care:

Always keep your dNaNo safely stored when not is use and out of reach of small children. Give the dNaNo a light "after use" cleaning to save you time on the next run. Avoid running into/over objects that can potentially cause damage to the body of chassis. Unless you're an expert, to not touch or modify the electronis. They are made as small as possible to fit the cars and can be damaged by a novice.
